Um den Altiris Deployment Server Agent von einer Maschine zu entfernen gibt es folgende Optionen:

“C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\aclient.exe -remove” bzw.
“C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\aclient.exe -remove -silent”

Nach einem Neustart des Systems ist der Client komplett vom System entfernt.

Altiris hat den Hotfix R2 für Notification Server SP3 freigegeben.

Der Hotfix kann auf der Webseite solutionsam.com heruntergeladen werden.
Die dazugehörigen Release Notes sind in der Knowledge Base von Altiris hinterlegt.

Folgende Fehler wurden mit dem Update behoben:

- Altiris Agent Pull Installation failures
- Resource Discovery Page failing to load
- Report drilldowns not localized
- Duplicate task event types in Global Altiris Agent Settings page
- Resource Associations with incorrect Attributes
- Altiris Agent failing to obtain the Distinguished Name of a computer

Patch Management Solution bereit.
Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Word Dokument, dass kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt wird.

Falls eine Installation oder automatische Deinstallation des Altiris Notification Server Agents fehlschlägt, gibt es folgende Möglichkeit den Agent manuell zu deinstallieren.

Irgendwie mag mich die Altiris Notification Server 6 Prüfung nicht so wirklich. Nach einer Woche intensiver Vorbereitung und Übung hat es leider nicht geklappt mit der Prüfung. Eine Frage fehlte mir zum Bestehen…Grmpf

Jetzt werde ich aber erstmal Urlaub machen, mich erholen und dann das ganze nochmal in Ruhe angehen lassen.

Ich bin guter Dinge und gehe davon aus, dass ich die Prüfung diesmal schaffen werde.
Nun ich werd mich überraschen lassen.

Also wer mag kann mir die Daumen drücken….

Wie es ausgegangen ist werde ich morgen an gleicher Stelle berichten.

Seit ungefähr einer Woche hab ich das Problem, dass das Patchmanagement von Altiris die Updates nicht mehr korrekt auf die Clients verteilt.
Im NS Agent bekomme ich nur den Hinweis – Installation misslungen mit dem Exit Code 2147500037. Das Altiris Forum gibt leider auch nix vernünftiges zum Thema her. Weiterhin werden im Windows Explorer kryptische Verzeichnisse angelegt, die die Installationsressourcen der Patches beinhalten.
Das schaut danach aus als wenn die Installation anfängt und dann fehlschlägt und die Verzeichnisse dann nicht mehr gelöscht werden können. Alles sehr eigenartig.
Das Problem besteht seit dem Microsoft Patch MS06-005 und in den Logfiles ist auch nichts zu finden.
Falls jemand eine vernünftige Lösung hat bitte bei mir melden….

Nach einem sehr schönen Osterfest bin ich heute morgen um 9.00 Uhr zum zweiten Versuch angetreten die Notification Server 6.0 Prüfung zu absolvieren.
Tja was soll ich sagen es war leider wieder ein Schuss in den Ofen …..

Die Problemstellen war die “Console Security” und die “Inventory Solution”. Wenigstens bekommt man einen Ausdruck mit den entsprechenden Hinweisen wo die Probleme zu finden sind.

Also auf ein neues..
